Program Proposals Wanted
The Academic Law Libraries Special Interest Section (ALL-SIS) welcomes
programs proposals for the 2005 AALL Annual Meeting. Please complete
your proposal on the AALL web site http://www.aallnet.org/pp/home.asp
and share it with Lee Peoples lpeoples@okcu.edu and Ajaye Bloomstone
llajaye@lsu.edu, Co-chairs of the ALL-SIS Annual Meeting Program
Committee by clicking "Share" and entering our e-mail addresses. This
will allow the Committee to review and rank your proposal.
Program proposals must be completed and shared with the committee by
August 5th to allow sufficient time for review and ranking of proposals
before the AALL August 15th deadline. Please share your proposal with
us before you submit it to AALL. This will give the committee
sufficient time to share any suggestions for improvement with you before
the proposal is submitted to AALL.
Before drafting your proposal it may be helpful to review the Program
Planner's Handbook accessible at:
http://www.aallnet.org/events/ProgramPlannersHandbook.pdf Some factors
that influence program selection include: content, learning outcomes,
professional benefit to members and institutions, perceived level of
interest in the subject, clear focus and relation to the competencies of
law librarianship. While creating a proposal it may be helpful to keep
in mind the theme for the meeting (Strategize! Values, Visions, Vistas)
and to review the explanation of the theme on page 3 of the Program
Planner's Handbook.
The ALL-SIS Annual Meeting Program Committee looks forward to your
proposals. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lee
or Ajaye (emails listed above).
