Hi,

We recently received a notice from Acacia Media Technologies that we are infriging their patents by using streaming media technology without a license agreement. We did buy software for our distance ed courses and presumed our use was covered under those licenses.

I have located information on the company and the litigation in which they are involved, but I am curious to know if others have received the notice and how you are choosing to proceed.

It seems amazing to me that they could collect licensing fees for all streaming media.

Thanks,
Mary
