Announcing the release of the first issue of The HUB, the daily newspaper
for this year's annual meeting in Boston. In addition to being distributed
in print at the conference, it is also available online at
http://www.aallnet.org/events/local04/hubandblog.htm, along with a link to
our new conference blog
(http://www.aallnet.org/events/local04/blog.htm). We hope that both these
resources will keep you up-to-date with what is happening at the meeting.
For those of you attending the meeting, please keep both resources in mind
for announcements, articles, etc.. You may drop by the newspaper office at
HCC Room 305 in the convention center or e-mail submissions to
thehub04@yahoo.com.
So how did we get the name for the newspaper? Well, we thought that
several heads were better than two and had a contest which was generously
supported by LLNE (Law Librarians of New England). Who won? Both Kim
Dulin (Harvard Law School Library in Massachusetts) and Roseanne Shea (New
Haven Courthouse Library in Connecticut) suggested the same winning
title. Each winner received a $50 gift certificate to Legal Sea Foods in
Boston. We want to thank all New England law librarians who submitted
suggestions. We also want to thank LLNE for its generous support!
For those of you who are about to travel to Boston, have a safe trip! We
look forward to seeing you!
Best regards,
