> The annual PLL-SIS Records Management Group
> Business/Networking Meeting will be held in Boston on Tuesday, July
> 13th, from 7:00am to 8:45pm in Sheraton-Beacon (D). For many of us
> who manage both the library and records/
conflicts departments in our organizations, the AALL
Annual Conference is our only opportunity during the year to network
with colleagues outside of our local geographic areas. Although our
meeting is taking place at an ungodly hour of the morning, I plan to
bring pastries in hopes of enticing you to attend, so please come (and
bring strong coffee)! I'm looking forward to networking with both old
friends and new at this year's meeting. If you will not be attending
AALL this year or otherwise won't be able to attend the RM Group
meeting, please email me any thoughts and/or ideas you may have
regarding topics of interest for professional association meetings in
2005.

In addition, I invite everyone with an interest
in corporate entity research to attend the program being sponsored by
the Records Management Group (C-1) entitled "Business and Legal Research
for Conflicts Searching." This program is being held on Monday, July
12th from 9am to 10am in HCC Room 311, and our speaker is Gitelle Seer,
Director of Library Services at Dewey Ballantine LLP. This program
focuses on specific strategies that librarians use when researching
potential conflicts of interest among parent and subsidiary companies
and other complex entities.
