COLLECTION ACCESS LIBRARIAN
Western New England College School of Law Library seek an energetic,
creative team-player to join a team of multi-talented librarians and staff
to provide superior library services to the academic and legal community in
a supportive and collegial environment at our highly respected institution.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assures that the various collections within the Law Library are accurately
shelved or filed, properly organized, and appropriately publicized and
accessible. Manages the microform, superseded/historical, and loose-leaf
collections, and a small archive and rare book collection. Responsible for
stack management, including planned stack shifts; supervises the check-in
and distribution of loose-leafs via the Innovative Interfaces, Inc. (III)
online system; supervises student employees and one full-time employee;
assists with in-house publications; helps staff the circulation desk, and
provides some reference service. Requires a Tuesday through Saturday work
schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree from an institution accredited by the American Library
Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with III system.
Library experience.
Knowledge of legal bibliography and research.
