Ordering Books Via My Reps v. west.thomson.com

Hello,

I've often wondered about this so am finally putting it
to paper…..

I have a couple of West reps from whom I order books
and both have always provided me with wonderful service.

Each day the post office delivers to me numerous flyers
and brochures stating that if I order books on
west.thomson.com I can get something free, such as an
Orvis Gift Card (spend $500 and get a $100 gift card).
Sounds like a great deal to me!

However, I believe that if I order via the web site rather
than via my reps they wouldn't receive commission on the
sale. I would feel bad about that. I was in sales
for Dialog for 5 years so am very familiar with commissions
and how important they are to reps!

Anyone have any thoughts on how this all works at West?
And at LEXIS? I would love for my reps to be credited
for the sale AND I would also like to be greedy and get the
gift!

Looking forward to your responses....
