The UMKC School of Law Leon E. Bloch Law Library is accepting applications for the position of Director of Electronic Services & Communications. We will be interviewing at AALL in Boston.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Electronic Services & Communications ("ESC Director") will serve as both a reference librarian and information communications officer for the law school. The ESC Director facilitates the flow of information through the law school, local bar and alumni communities, builds and strengthens relations among those communities, and leverages the value of the law school and library as information organizations.

Required:

J.D., M.L.S., excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, teaching ability, maturity, professionalism, vision and management ability. Previous library work required.

Preferred:

Experience practicing law and providing service related activities to bar associations. Experience with instruction, personnel management, information and knowledge management, education technology, usability design, information architecture and professional or academic publishing. Computer and networking experience may be helpful for working with existing staff specialists in these fields.

Salary and Benefits:

To mid-$50's depending on qualifications and experience
