Circulation Law Librarian
<SPAN style="FONTSIZE: 12pt; FONTSTYLE: italic">RESPONSIBILITIES:</SPAN>
Manages all circulation department functions, including circulation desk,
print and electronic reserves, interlibrary loan, audiovisual services,
missing material searches, copier and printer maintenance, and stacks
management; trains and supervises staff; hires and supervises work study
staff for evenings and weekends; proposes, implements, and reviews
departmental policies and procedures; coordinates automated circulation
system; coordinates library security and facility management. The
Circulation Librarian provides reference desk services, including one
evening per week and Saturday rotation; some teaching of legal research to
law students; and participates in the faculty liaison program.
<SPAN style="FONTSIZE: 12pt; FONTSTYLE: italic">REQUIRED:</SPAN>
A Master’s degree or two full academic years of graduate study in library
science and one year of specialized experience.
PREFERRED:
J.D.; law library or law firm experience; experience in managing library
circulation department; experience administering Millennium online library
system; active professional participation; strong service philosophy; and
ability to work independently and in cooperation with colleagues and library
users in a service-oriented, collaborative environment..
