POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Technical Services/Cataloging Librarian P/T

Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman, LLP is seeking a Technical
Services/Cataloging Librarian for a temporary part time position in its
New York office.
Responsibilities: Coordinate all aspects of a conversion to a web-based
library management system for serials control, acquisitions,
circulation, routing, interlibrary loans, etc. - Cataloging of library
holdings utilizing MARC records. - Inventorying and indexing
miscellaneous print and non-print materials. - Liaise with application
service providers and in-house IT support staff. This position reports
to the Director of Library services. The hours are flexible (approx.15
hrs per week).
Qualifications: Strong technical services and cataloging experience is
required, with an emphasis on the maintenance and use of automated
library systems, OPAC and related applications. An MLS/MLIS degree is
preferred. Additional qualifications: Knowledge of legal bibliography
and information resources, excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, and the ability to work independently. Law firm library
experience is a plus. Consideration will be given to all qualified
applicants.
