Can anyone tell me if there is somewhere that would list Licensing requirements, state by state, for entities making loans to businesses. (Not necessarily Bankers) The loans could be secured or unsecured. The attorney tells me that the license is usually called a "Lenders' License" or a "Mortgage Bankers License". I have looked on the internet but most of the sites that I found, referred to Residential Mortgage lenders. We are really looking for lenders who make loans to businesses.
We have looked in the "Consumer Credit Guide" State section, and although there is some information there it is not quite to point.
The attorney is checking with Westlaw and Lexis, but I thought I would give "the list" a shot. Any advise is welcome!
