The Archives has the jpg already!! I am impressed.
Now I know what I missed by having the flu in December and deleting a
zillion posts at once!

Papyrus? Sometimes I feel like I'm soon going to be using Sumerian
Cuneiform Tablets.
Can someone digitize this roach clip/document holder and put us people who
were not graced by Lexis with these gifts out of our curiosity???
For a jpg is worth a thousand docs.

During the 'roachclip incident' I showed that the dispued object was
actially a document holder using an 'alligator clip' from the electronics
industry.
Clearly the new 'gift' is the next step. If the clip is to hold
documents,
you need documents. The seeds are for growing papyrus reeds, from which
you will ultimately be able to produce documents.
[I suppose some of you will rep-roach me for depending on such a thin reed
for an explanation. Sniff...]

Look out! Here comes Audrey II!
As long as I can stick it in a window or in a tomato cream pasta sauce,
I'll be happy to have it.
Or maybe it's meant to accompany the roach clip?

Do you remember the flurry of emails in December* after several list
members received from the Lexis/Nexis Librarian Relations Group what
became known as the "desktop roach clip & floating pill" gift? . .
.
Well, just wait until the "Library Week" gifts hit folks' desks!
Imagine our surprise today upon receiving from Lexis a small yellow
watering can ... along with a bag-o-dirt and unidentified seeds
suspiciously labeled "GROW YOUR OWN"! Apparently, it will take 14
to 21 days before we know precisely what we are harvesting!
Cheers,
Martha
