I know this has been discussed on law-lib before, but I couldn't find anything in the archives.
We are using Imanage as our document managing program, but I would assume that libraries using other similar programs would be doing some management of the bank of research done at their firms over the years.
We used to have a (very inefficient) paper brief bank, but that hasn't been kept up for ages.
Imanage, like many document management programs does allow for full-text retrieval, but retrieving relevant documents without pulling up way too much irrelevant material of a non-research nature doesn't seem practical, especially as the document bank had grown mightily over the years.
What are other firms doing in relation to their document management systems to maintain a 'brief bank'?
Many thanks in advance for your assistance, and I will summarize for the list.
