Dear Law-libbers,
JURIST, the non-commercial legal information and education website at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, is currently seeking law librarians (especially electronic services librarians) from law schools and law firms across the country interested in doing rapid-response online legal news-related research in support of JURIST's Paper Chase legal news weblog at:
http://jurist.law.pitt.edu/paperchase/
We'd like to develop a team of volunteer expert researchers who could suggest, locate and answer requests for online primary sources and other research materials helpful to understanding the many breaking news stories featured on the service throughout the day.
JURIST's Paper Chase is accessed several thousand times per week, and its headlines are carried live on the websites of over 30 other law libraries, law schools, law firms and legal organizations (see http://jurist.law.pitt.edu/paperchasenewsfeeds.htm). Yours may already be one of them!
Team members would be given public credit on JURIST's Paper Chase for suggesting online resources that we end up using "on air."
We hope that you'll find this an interesting and fun opportunity to bring your online legal research skills (and latest "finds"!) to a wider audience while keeping your fingers on the pulse of the latest legal developments. We also hope the initiative translates into better understanding of current legal issues by the many lawyers, policymakers, journalists, and citizens who read JURIST every day.
Please reply to me off-list. Thanks!
