The following is only likely to be worth attending to if you've just
happened to deal with this region and time period before -- if you have,
please let me know!
I am seeking a case from the Northern Mariana Islands (then part of the
U.S. Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands), from 1984 (we have the Trust
Territory Reports, but this seems to be a more local court and
publication). This was published in volume one of something called the
Commonwealth Reporter. The citation is Sirilan v. Castro, 1 C.R. 1082
(DNMI App.Div. 1984). This seems to be distinct from the Commonwealth
Reporter that was published after 1986.
While I have been unable to locate this reporter, or another source for
this case, in our collection or elsewhere (other than by purchasing it as
per the email below) I want to make sure that I'm not missing something --
if anyone has familiarity with legal sources for that particular corner of
the world and has suggestions as to where this case might be quickly
located it would be a great help, as one of our faculty is in at least some
hurry to see this case.
