Several of you requested that I post a summary of the replies I received
to my inquiry regarding a replacement product for tax forms since we are
switching from the CD-ROM version of the TM portfolios to the Internet
version. I posted the inquiry only after waiting a week for BNA to
reply to my inquiry regarding the functionality of the Internet version
of the forms. So, of course, BNA finally replied a couple of hours
after my posting! Here is BNA's reply followed by lawlibbers replies:

"Please let your customer know that the capabilities of the forms on the
web are really much the same as the CD version. The forms on the web can
be filled out on screen, will calculate numbers, customer data can still
be imported from one tax year to another and there is no need to
reinstall a CD. If your customer could benefit from a walk through of
the forms service please let us know so we could follow up and provide a
tutorial or please feel to have your customer contact me directly if you
feel this might help."

Lawlibbers replies:

"Our people use and like SuperForm. www.stfservices.com"

"We used Superforms at Arthur Andersen and ran it on the network. I
believe BNA owns them now. Anyway it is the same product as BNA's."

"We use the web version, and all it takes is a small local install or
update every time. Not that much work."

"We're still living a split personality with RIA's GoSystem
Forms/E-Forms. We didn't want to store our data anywhere but on our
network, so we stopped using the web product, which stores the info on
RIA's servers. I'd love to find a product that my attorneys would love
to do this.

"At another firm, we did use CCH's interactive forms on CD, and I think
they migrated to the web as well, but I'm not sure what they are up to
these days"

"The web version of the portfolios also includes a component that
contains interactive tax forms. I moved from CD-ROM a few years ago to
the web version. The web version / software pulls the from BNA. They are
interactive and can be saved to a local computer or network drive to
insure confidentially. It works well for us."
