Cross-posted. Please excuse duplication.
This is an actual issue that I am working on, but I
must ask for help hypothetically; as I am not able to
reveal the actual details of the research request.
So here it goes--
If I wanted to know (and be able to cite an
authoritative source) how much money a particular
fortune 100, publicly traded, U.S. corporation (some
of that may be redundant) was paying in *hourly* fees
to attorneys whom it had hired to defend it in a
particular bit of litigation brought against it by a
U.S. Government regulatory agency; how would I go
about doing that?
The presumption is that this information exists
somewhere in the public domain (e.g., in public
records or in public filings).
So far, I have tried LEXIS and EDGAR on LEXIS, and
Internet searches.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I would have done more trying before asking, but the
time span between the request and the needed results
is short, and I'm trying to use the time I do have as
efficiently as possible.
Thanks!
Dave C.
