Hi,
I have an attorney (and our Court Services department) looking for the
equivalent of The Rutter Group's California Practice Guide Civil Procedure
before Trial in the the states of Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The
Rutter Group guides are hands-on, how to do things guides (if you can call a
three volume loose-leaf set a guide) under the civil procedure rules. The
attorney has access to the rules, but that doesn't tell you how to do things
in practice. Since I don't really want to buy all of these states (there
are more to come), I looked at the possibilities on Lexis and Westlaw. I
have come up with the following, but really want to know what people think
is the best in print or online.
Tennessee:
Tennessee Civil Procedure Most Recent Edition (Lexis)
Tennessee Practice Series Civil Procedure Forms (Westlaw)
Tennessee Practice Series Rules of Civil Procedure (Westlaw)
Minnesota:
Minnesota Civil Practice Most Recent Edition (Lexis)
Minnesota Practice Series (Westlaw) - that isn't very descriptive
Wisconsin:
I don't see anything of note in Lexis
Wisconsin Civil Practice Forms (Westlaw)
Wisconsin Pleading and Practice Forms (Westlaw)
Wisconsin Practice Series (Westlaw) - again not very descriptive
I know that the Wisconsin Bar Association publishes good stuff, but I would
love input on the most useful, hands-on guide in print or online. Thanks.
