Collection Development Librarian

Primary Duties: The Collection Development Librarian coordinates
library-wide initiatives in collection development, preservation,
digitization, and information access to ensure an integrated access to
print, electronic and other resources. This librarian selects, promotes,
and manages print and electronic information services, including but not
limited to, local databases, files, Internet resources, and CD-ROM products,
and other electronic resources. The librarian will provide specialized
training services as well as general reference. (A detailed description of

Requirements: Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited
institution; at least three years' work experience in collection development
and/or technical services; substantial knowledge of traditional legal
bibliography and electronic legal information resources; substantial
knowledge of and experience in bibliographic databases and electronic
information resources; strong service orientation, ability to work well
independently and with others as a team; and excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.

 

Salary and Benefits: The minimum annual salary is $38,000. Benefits
include health and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leaves, employer
contributions to retirement plans, and strong support for professional
development.

200,000, the city is very movable without traffic congestion found in many

Family-friendly, the city has very good health care and transportation
systems. The cost of living is below the national average and
