Maybe a little less available.
But, hey, then, too, there have been a lot of times when they've showed
up for training and nobody in the Firm has shown.
Those (indispensable) free passwords are still good for a day.
I confess we abuse them a bit.
But we keep on paying West and Westlaw the lion's share of our library
(big, expanding) budget.
Interns, satellite users, power users, really jam when they think
they're getting something free.
It's always the same guys.
And when there is no free password, they still pile up charges like
nobody's business.
Please West, don't cut corners here.
I thank the Head Librarian in the sky that West still HAS local reps.
Only BNA and West maintain a presence in the field around here.
Lexis, CCH, Lawyer's Coop, Shepard's, Matthew Bender, RIA, Polk,
all used to be right next door.
Now their reps work out of the planet Mars.

their Westlaw account reps?
We have been under contract pricing with Westlaw for many, many years.
Over the past year, the frequency of rep visits has greatly decreased
and special training sessions (promoting new Westlaw features, etc.)
are
no longer initiated by the rep. Where free passwords used to be valid
for the entire day, they are now good for only the one hour that the
rep
is here at our office!
Are these changes unique to our firm or region, or is Westlaw cutting
rep services across the board?
