We have been asked what happened on remand in Tarasoff v. Regents of the
University of California, 17 Cal.3d 425, 551 P.2d 334, 131 Cal. R 14 (1976).
The first question is what did happen and is there a decision on the remand
that is available somewhere to read? I did not find it on Westlaw, Loislaw
or Findlaw.
The second question concerns the general availability of trial court
decisions in California. In Connecticut, some trial court memoranda of
decision are unofficially published by two print products and also on
Westlaw and Loislaw, but coverage before 1990 is very spotty. We haven't
been able to find any online source for trial court memoranda from
California.
