Electronic filing in Federal Courts

The Federal Courts in Massachusetts are about to initiate the electronic
filing of pleadings in the District Courts. I would be interested in
hearing from any law firms in any districts that have already gone
"live" with this method of filing documents. In particular, I'm
interested in any policies/best practices on how law firms are handling
the issue of retrieving documents from e-mail [especially if an attorney
is out of the office for days or weeks], and methods of docketing the
documents in case files [i.e. storing the documents only electronically
or in print, or both]. Comments on any other policies associated with
electronic filing will also be welcome.
