Over time, I have had problems with this kind of inability to get a
discusssion group server to execute commnands for change in account. One
cause of this, and it may not be the cause of your problem, is that over
time organizations change email account addresses for one reason or
another. To get list software to modify your account, the exact email
address that is on record with that discussion group must be used. One
may be able despite the address variance to still receive mail from the
list because the server on your end is programmed to receive old variants
of the email address currently in use. This may not be your problem but
it may be worth noting either for you or other list members experiencing
list command difficulties.
