Enjoy writing but not sure what to write about? I would like to publish
a thematic series of short articles in LRSQ. The subject: Tales from
the Reference Desk.
We all have our favorite war stories: funny, sad, instructive,
maddening, etc. I'd like to compile them - perhaps in one article - but
hopefully in a whole series of articles. I think it will make for
amusing reading, and hopefully, maybe even educate other reference
librarians.
Anything under 10 double-spaced pages would be great. (I'd expect most
submissions to be much shorter!) I'm setting a preliminary deadline of
December 1, 2003.
Think about it! No footnotes and you already have all the information
you need to get going.
And, if you haven't seen it yet, vol. 22, no. 2/3 of LRSQ is just out.
Great articles by colleagues Sarah Devotion Garner, Kerry Fitz-Gerald,
Larry D. Richmond, Jr., Kathryn Hensiak, Scott DeLeve, Robert Hu and Pip
Nicholson.
