According to Rule 4:15(C) of Virginia Rules of Court, response time on motions is at least seven days before hearing date. I did not find any rules specifically addressing "motion for judgments", so I'am assuming the rules pertaining to general motions should apply (Rule 4:15). For research like this, I will use a paid service (Westlaw or Lexis). This is not a legal opinion. Thank you.

Subject: Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure online?
I am looking for an online version of the Commonwealth of Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure. I have found and searched the Rules of Court under the Supreme Court of Virginia-Amendments to the Rules of Court site. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to see all the Rules in a Table of Contents format or a listing in order of all the rules.
Specifically, we're trying to find the response time for a motion for judgment filed against a client.
Thanks for any help and TIA,
Catherine Lambe
