Another Pricey West Update

This isn't news, but I received another costly release to a Thomson West
publication. Disclosure and Remedies under the Securities Laws is a 6
volume set that costs $1400. There are four updates a year, $359 each. So
you basically are paying for a full set each year if you keep the looseleaf
updated.

Putting aside the issue of why they need to update the publication four
times a year, how do other people handle this? Do you stop getting updates
and keep current on Westlaw? Just buy a new set every couple of years?
Does another publisher have a similar treatise (on rule 10b-5)? This update
comes two months after the previous release. Last year I received release
#4 three weeks after release #3. I know prices are getting out of hand, but
this particulary annoyed me.
