Teaching 1Ls CALR: one question

Kelly Browne, from Univ. of Connecticut, asked that I poll folks about
when they teach LexisNexis and Westlaw to 1L students. They have been
wondering if students get confused when the two services are taught one
right after the other. Please select among the answers below:

1. First semester or quarter, back-to-back (that is, one service taught in
classes for, say, a week, and the other service taught the next week).

2. Second semester or quarter(second or third), back-to-back.

3. One service taught one semester or quarter, the other service taught
another semester or quarter.

4. Any other way (please specify).

Thanks much for your response! For more fascinating information like this,
please attend the ALL-SIS meeting on CALR Vendor Relations, Monday, July
14 from 5:15-6:15. We will be talking about ID/password distribution,
student representatives and their training, low-cost alternative services,
and other issues of interest to those who train students in online legal
research.

Nancy
