Last year, I queried this list asking for information about cataloging
resources during and after a war; I was looking for background material for
a science fiction short story about librarians in the future. Several of
you responded with fascinating tidbits, and many of you asked to be
notified when the story appears.
My short story, "Catalog of Woe" is featured in the anthology SPACE, INC.
(ed. Julie Czerneda, Daw Books, ISBN 075640147X). The book was released
today and is available in general bookstores (both bricks-and-mortar and
online.) Each story in the anthology concerns a different job in the
future.
