Hi All,

I have a faculty member who is in the process of soliciting publication
offers for a text. He has received several responses from various
academic/university presses. My question to all of you is: Is there a
way to evaluate the quality/reputation of the various
academic/university presses?

I know that this can be done, to some extent, based on the reputation of
the affiliated institution, but beyond that is there an evaluation
method or publication providing such an evaluation.

Please respond to me off list. Any help is greatly appreciated.
