Since I am not a librarian, I hesitate to say anything in a matter like
this, but the following could be a helpful suggestion that would satisfy
both points of view.
Many articles have been published on this. Using research skills, perhaps
ones could be found that discuss the matter from the perspective of the
libraries, the museums, the artifacts, and the laws relating to preservation
without also including conspiracy theories and political blame. If such
articles were found, that would allow discussion of relevant (to this list)
and hence probably agreeable aspects of the matter to the mutual edification
of all.
