L A W F O R T H E N O N - J D

(AALL Workshop W-1 - Thur.-Fri., July 10-11)

Improve your knowledge of U.S. law!

In two days, an experienced faculty of law librarians (joined by a couple
of star professors from the University of Washington) will take you from
the basics (the structure of the court system, the use of precedent, forms
of legal writing, etc.) to, well, the basics (the central issues of Torts,
Contracts, Administrative Law, Federal Taxation, etc.).

The workshop is fast-paced and interactive - you will be very involved
during the two days of "class"!

Here is what some of the participants wrote at the end of the same program
in 2001 (Minneapolis):

** "This was one of the very best workshops I have attended . . .
my boss sent me and boy am I glad she did."

** "All of the instructors were very good; they all were very
enthusiastic, which helped make learning about law fun."

** "Great information, wonderful staff, please do it again."
