Fellow law-libbers:
After a few years' hiatus from active participation on law-lib, I have
rejoined
the list on behalf of a new employer.
Some of you may remember me from Clements, O'Neill, Pierce, Wilson &
Fulkerson, a civil litigation firm in Houston. I was their librarian for
almost
eight years before taking a break to stay home with my family last year.
Over the years, I have been active with the Houston Area Law Librarians,
most recently as Past President, and with the Special Libraries
Association, Texas Chapter and Legal Division.
Now I am the new Librarian Relations Consultant for Jones McClure
Publishing, Inc., here in Houston. Just about every legal professional in
Texas is well-acquainted with the O'Connor's series of law books. We
publish many Texas-specific titles, including O'Connor's Texas Rules *
Civil Trials -- aka the "trial lawyer's bible" -- as well as the excellent
O'Connor's Federal Rules * Civil Trials and O'Connor's Federal Forms.

My job will be to provide a "librarian's-eye view" of the JMP's publications
and processes, and I hope you will all help me fulfill that duty :) I will
occasionally call on you to solicit input on decisions which may affect
you, your staff, and/or your attorneys. I also encourage you to contact
me with your questions, ideas and concerns.
Jones McClure will have a booth at the AALL Conference in Seattle in
July so please drop by and say hello! I look forward to renewing
acquaintances and meeting lots of new people.
