To all of you who responded, thanx. I am attaching a summary of
remarks. In every case I tried to include only those remarks which were
unique. It is clear that this is a very troublesome matter for law
libraries. I didn't get the answers I was looking for, but, I was
relieved to note that there is a move on to re-address ABA accreditation
requirements, responsible service demands, and increasing budgetary
restraints.
My original question was not could or should we get rid of all books,
but whether we may get rid of expensive books which are duplicated by
the same vendor online. There is no good answer yet.
