Thanks to everyone who has answered so far, but we still don't have a
definitive answer.
Several people have suggested looking in the Martindale Hubbell
International Law Digest volume, and I thank you for your suggestions.
However, it seems that Slovenia isn't covered in the Martindale. The
Slovak Republic is covered in Martindale but Slovenia isn't a part of
the Slovak Republic. It is a different country that used to be part of
the Balkans. There is a web site I found at
http://www.slovakia.org/sk-faq.htm
which explains the difference between Slovakia and Slovenia (which I
didn't know until today).
The patron has also looked at Martindale.com to find an attorney in
Slovenia and is in contact with a couple of them but wanted to be able
to read the personal injury law for herself. Also she said that it has
been difficult to converse with them as the ones she has been talking to
can speak conversational English but English technical leagal terms.
There have been some suggestions to contact the US Embassy and some
foreign language programs that specialize in Slavic languages. Thanks to
everyone for their suggestions and I'll keep looking.
Amy
