In approximately a year the library, a division of the Louisiana Supreme Court, will move with its parent institution to a grand, newly-renovated courthouse in the New Orleans French Quarter. This is an exciting time for the 150-year-old library, offering new challenges and opportunities to serve its diverse clientele. The staff of six professional librarians, three library associates, and student assistants works closely with the entire state judicial branch--judges, court staff, and judicial administrators--as well as serving members of the bar and the general public. There is a strong commitment to mentoring and supporting staff in professional development and participation in AALL and chapter activities.
