Good morning everyone.
Just wanted to let all of you know that tomorrow is my last day at
Practising Law Institute, after five years here.
In January, I'm returning to college (at 34! having never finished it the
first time). I'll be going to Montclair State University as a Justice
Studies major, with a paralegal concentration. Montclair offers the only
ABA-certified 4-year paralegal program in New Jersey. Having held jobs as a
law clerk and legal sec'y, and worked for Clark Boardman Callaghan and now
PLI, I think it's a bit of poetic justice that I can't seem to escape the
legal field.
I've greatly enjoyed learning from all of you, and helping out whenever I
could -- be it with PLI-related issues or just a bit of "desk chair
research". The collective wisdom, helpfulness, and kindness on this list is
a magical thing, and I feel honored to have made my tiny contribution to
that.
Eventually, because the knowledge base here *is* so very huge, and I'll be a
budding paralegal (albeit one who thinks librarians walk on water!; that
might not be the typical attitude), I'll be res*bscribing to law-lib from
home, albeit in digest format... and I'll look forward to getting
re-acquainted then.
If you need assistance from Practising Law Institute, please write to Jill
Porter, Director of Library Relations, at jporter@pli.edu or Nickola
Francis, at nfrancis@pli.edu .
Warmest wishes to you all.
