This plea goes out to anyone whose firms or institutions have document
management systems in place, and who submits selected research results for
inclusion in those systems. Given the restraints of copyright law and/or
database license agreements with respect to downloaded materials, how do you
add significant research projects to your DMS in a way that makes them
compliant, findable, and ultimately of some utility to those who locate
them? This is an offshoot of the "reference database" topic, I guess.
My ideas to date have been limited to inclusion of cover memos, composing
abstracts, and documenting search strategies. Are there any novel
approaches out there that have worked for anybody?
Any comments on this would be most appreciated. If there is interest in the
responses I'd be glad to summarize. Thanks a lot.
