Re: West's Codes and Digests

I would like to echo Frank Drake's comments about West's recent practice of not providing title information and section numbers on the covers of revised volumes of West codes and digests. The failure to provide this data on the covers of McKinney's Consolidated Laws of New York is particularly irksome to many of us in New York. While prices go up and up at West, editorial print practices that have added value to their products for generations are being eliminated. West please reconsider. Remember your shipment notice fiasco.

This has been mentioned before on law-lib, but I do wish Thomson West would
reconsider their ill-advised decision to cease printing title information on
the front covers of their codes and digests.

When one has a number of books lying on the desk it is most aggravating not to
have readily visible the title and section nos. covered by the code volume or
the key number range in the digest volume.

Clearly the editors have not had to look at more than one of their volumes at
a time.

I hope they do not consider this to be an improvement to their product. In my
opinion it most assuredly is not. Why therefore do they want to degrade their
product?
