Re: Expert Witness Testimony

While reading an expert’s depositionor trial transcript testimony can provide an abundance of information about how the expert has performed (and will perform...) or to use for impeachment
purposes, there is currently no free, centralized database for expert witness transcripts.

I just presented a seminar at the California State Bar about finding experts on the net, and here is an excerpt from the paper where I discuss transcripts of experts:

At TrialSmith (www.trialsmith.com) formerly known as DepoConnect, plaintiffs’ attorneys can access over 73,000 online documents that include depositions and also briefs, pleadings, seminar papers,
verdicts, and settlements. An annual subscription costs $195 a year and there is a $30 per document fee. TrialSmith also has a private discussion group for attorneys to share information.

The Defense Research Institute (dri.org) provides DRI members a fee-based, searchable database to the complete text of briefs, pleadings, motions, affidavits, orders, verdicts, judgments, jury
instructions and expert witness testimony from trial courts around the country. Their database is powered by Juritas (www.juritas.com).
