CJS

We just had a Collection Development meeting and discussed the CJS Table
of
Cases and tossed around this question: Do we really need two national
legal
encyclopedias published by the same company? CJS no longer claims to
cover every
published case, both are available on WESTLAW, and AmJur 2d now contains
key number
references. We could save a lot of money by cancelling CJS altogether.
True, we may
sooner or later have to deal with the issue of what to do if West
decides to do a
Table of Cases for AM JUR 2d, but if anyone can think of some reasons
why both
publications are really necessary, let's hear it.
