Brooklyn Law School Library has an opening for a Reference Librarian.
Position: Reference Librarian
Responsibilities: Provides both traditional and electronic reference
and research assistance to faculty, students and other library patrons.
Hires, trains and supervises law student assistants who staff the
circulation desk evenings and weekends. Participates with other members
of the public services department in research instruction through tours,
lectures and the creation of legal research tools. Assists in the
development and implementation of public services policies and
procedures. Participates in the planning and teaching of courses in
Advanced Legal Research.
Hours: This position involves some evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: M.L.S. and J.D. degrees from A.L.A. and A.B.A.
accredited institutions required. Law library and supervisory
experience preferred.
Energetic, enthusiastic and flexible individual who works well both
independently and as part of a team.
