Request for information regarding telephone survey

I received a call today from Opinion Research Corporation in Reno, NV. They
are doing a very lengthy survey (20 minutes or more) on vendors used by my
library. They asked very detailed questions on product quality, customer
service and pricing of the vendors I use the most. I had five possible
answers: 1. Greatly meets my expectations, 2. somewhat meets my
expectations, 3. meets my expectations, 4. narrowly fails to meet my
expectations and 5. completely fails to meet my expectations.

I was concerned about the survey because the caller could not tell me who
was requesting or receiving the information. I kept thinking that somehow I
was giving them permission to send me a product I never ordered (which we
have seen before). Has anyone had any experience with this group before
(good or bad)? I'd be interested to know if they are conducting a national
survey or if they are focusing on one area. Any feedback greatly
appreciated. Thank you.
