I myself can't quite fathom why this new law is particularly important, but we're getting calls from all over the country about it, so want to share this information:
A.11784-A was signed by the Governor Sept. 30th as Chapter 601 of 2002.
It amends the Labor Law and prohibits the use of State funds and facilities to assist, promote or deter union organizing. It require employers to maintain sufficient records of the expenditure of state funds sufficient to show that funds have not been utilized in the prohibited manner.
