Thanks to all of you who responded to my recent posting regarding adhering
book pockets to textured or glossy book covers. We've tried Gaylord and
Demco self-adhesive pockets but often have to reinforce them with tape. To
summarize the responses, the suggestions included:
1. Brodart pockets
2. Use a manila folder or a heavy stock paper that has been hole punched for
loose-leafs (oftentimes extra blank pages are included with updates) and
attach the pocket to this heavy paper. A clear plastic sheet may be used as
an alternative to heavy paper.
3. Aleene's extra tacky glue (from craft stores), rubber cement, low
temperature hot glue, adhesive tape gun, double-sided tape.
4. Change the placement of the card. Use the first blank page inside the
cover or a blank page in the back of the book.
Thanks again for the ideas!
