Along that line, an article published eleven years ago gave me the idea for
an article that I've been working on gradually (so gradually it might never
be finished). The title of the article is an intriguing question:
Carol Ebbinghouse, What if We Owned the Data? The Fifth Annual SCOUG
Retreat, 7 Database Searcher 13 (November 1991).
The problem with trying to write the article is that by nature it probably
cannot be done by a single author. Maybe the thing to do is explore that
question with an ensemble of authors. Interested?
