Aviation Law

I am trying to trace the usage, if any, of the rather unique legal theory
that was the basis for the actions against Cessna Aircraft Corp. and
FlightSafety International relating to the death of Thurman Munson in 1979.
The suits were brought by Munson's estate and the New York Yankees, and were
settled out of court - hence no reported decision to trace. I need to
determine whether the theory was utilized in later cases, and expect that if
there was no reference to the Munson case through the 1980's, it probably
was not.

First: I have an article from "Aviation Convention News" from November 1,
1980, and part of another from "The Aviation Consumer" from March 15, 1980,
both discussing the suits. I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have
issues (or indexing?) of these publications 1980 - 1988? Second: Is anyone
familiar with aviation law aware of any later use of the theory? Can you
suggest other sources for this information? Any other suggestions or
assistance would be much appreciated.

Please reply off-list. I would be happy to clarify the question as
necessary. Thank you.
