1. Elite has a consultant by the name of Ed Markey, who has developed a
bridge program that enables us to transfer our Lexis and Westlaw costs
directly to Elite. We had to pay for the bridge programs but it was
relatively
inexpensive. Ed Markey has developed this program for a number of law
firms, so it's not like he has to do this from scratch, although there
are some
individual nuances depending upon how your firm handles such online
charges.

2. It is possible to download a data file from QuickView+ and import
it into
Elite. Many other customers using QuickView+ and Elite have been able
to do so. Whille QuickView+ does not offer an import routine directly
into Elite,
we do offer both an ASCII Fixed Width and ASCII Delimited (with five
delimiters to select: Comma, Semicolon, Tab, Space, or Pipe). By
creating
an import routine which will understand one of the two ASCII formats
available, the data can be pushed automatically into your Elite
application.

3. I do it all the time and it's very easy. With Lexis you can select
Options and set the default to always download in spreadsheet format.
With both programs you can get a variety of reports and download any of
them into Excel. I know have an accounting clerk who downloads the
reports and uploads into Elite. It has greatly improved the turnaround
time for billing. I'm giving a presentation with Lexis at AALL about
online cost recovery going into some detail about the process if you're
