Hornbooks and Nutshells
The CRIV asked West Group for its position on the distribution of its nutshell and hornbook series as a result of concerns express by the library community at the loss of standing orders. Following is the response we received from West regarding the change in the updating process of the nutshells, hornbooks and practitioner treatise series.
"In the past, updates and new publications were automatically sent to customers for review and purchase. Based on customer recommendations, West Group will now start sending a comprehensive list of updates and new publications via West e-lert, our free monthly electronic newsletter, to library customers subscribing to the newsletter. These lists will also be posted on our Librarian Relations Website at <http://www.westgroup.com/librarians/>. This will allow our customers to select only the publications they want to purchase for their libraries.
To assist you in ordering your West Group and Foundation Press law school titles for your law library, we have attached information highlighting New Titles and Editions available at the following link: <http://www.westgroup.com/librarians/resources/newtitles.asp>, as well as Forthcoming New Titles and Editions available at the following link: <http://www.westgroup.com/librarians/resources/forthcoming.asp>. These lists will be updated on a quarterly basis.
