Position: Reference/State Documents Librarian (Harrisburg, PA Campus)
The Widener University School of Law Legal Information Center invites
applications for the position of Reference/State Documents Librarian.
The Legal Information Center is unique to legal education with its
complete integration of the Wilmington and Harrisburg branches.
Resource sharing between both campuses occurs at all operational levels
with advanced communication systems permitting total linking between the
two campus libraries. For more information on the school, consult our

Basic Duties and Responsibilities: Provide legal research instruction
in conjunction with first year legal methods curriculum as well as other
library programs; participate in reference desk rotation which could
include working an evening or on Sundays; participate in the faculty
liaison program; administer state documents collection; help prepare
library publications including research guides and articles for weekly
student newsletter.
Qualifications:
M.L.S. or equivalent from ALA-accredited school with legal reference
experience and/or J.D. degree. The applicant should possess
initiative; good oral and written communication skills, as well as
excellent interpersonal skills; and knowledge of computer systems.
The position is a twelve month appointment with twenty vacation days and
ten holidays. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
