The CRIV is posting the following message from West Group in response to the law library community's concerns expressed about the Federal Appendix and the Federal Reporter advance sheets. Based on feedback from the community, West is making the following changes and offering different subscription options. Please be advised that implementation of the changes reported below will take approximately four to six weeks.
"West Group appreciates the questions and suggestions customers have offered about the Federal Reporter, 3d advance sheets that included unreported well as reported cases. Based on your feedback, customers will now be able to choose the advance sheet package that best meets their research, cataloging and filing needs.
Customers will have the option of choosing the following packages:
1. Federal Reporter and Federal Appendix advance sheets for reported and unreported cases combined
2. Federal Reporter and Federal Appendix advance sheets for reported and unreported cases separated
3. Federal Reporter advance sheets for reported cases only
The separate Federal Appendix advance sheets, as well as the Federal Appendix portion of the combined Federal Reporter and Federal Appendix advance sheets, will continue to be provided to Federal Reporter, 3d customers at no charge.
Your subscription will continue as-is, unless you elect to change your option. If you wish to change the format in which you receive Federal Reporter and/or Federal Appendix advance sheets, please email West Group Customer Service at customer.service@westgroup.com <mailto:customer.service@westgroup.com> or fax us at 1-800-340-9378. Please provide your West Group account number as well as the option listed above. Your request will be processed as soon as the new options are implemented.
