Hello everyone,
Here is the answer to my own query regarding historical stock "call" figures. "Calls" are also known as "puts" and "strike prices". These are basically Option Contracts (Contracts 101 of course!), which fix a securities price for a specific period of time. The person making the request made it sound a whole lot more difficult than that!
Barron's (the weekly newspaper) has it under Market Watch. Check the Market Watch Table of Contents and go to the Options section. I am told that Investor's Business Daily also has these, and probably the Wall Street Journal (neither of which I checked). I had to use back issues of Barron's on microfilm to get the historical time frame I needed.
Thanks to Lawson Ward, Barbara Fullerton, Karen Colarco, Wilson Addo,
Ruth Girill, and Sue Ann Campbell of Law-Lib for helping out. And a big thank you to Evelyn, a Business Librarian at Cleveland Public Library, for all the help.
